Character Information
Full Name: Lovegood, Luna May
Birthdate: April 14th
Age: 16
Alumni House: Ravenclaw
Blood: Pureblood
Occupation: [Must name a job] She's the assitant editior of the Quibbler, the magazine her father runs and is currently the editior of.
Position on the War: [Order? DE?] Luna's position in the war lies on the side of the Order.
-Appearance
Height: Luna is approximatly 5'6.5"
Weight: Her weight is 130, about the right size for someone her height.
Physical Health:Physically, she's almost as fit as a fiddle. Her minor downside is the acute asthma that she's had since childhood. She keeps under control with the use of an inhaler, and can often run around without it.
Appearance: From a distance, Luna looks like any other adolescent girl, with her waist length, straggly dirty blonde hair and silver grey eyes. When looked at from a closer distance, one may notice the wand tucked behind her ear, or her really fair skin littered lightly with freckles across her nose. Luna also has fairly faint eyebrows, which gives her the constant look of surprise, which goes with the dreamy look in her eyes, which seem to blink less frequently than those of a normal person. She always has a big smile; it tends to get smaller though, when people make fun of her. Moving past her face and hair, a fairly predominate feature on the 5’6.5” teenager, is her butterbeer cork necklace, and other unique jewelry that she wears to customize her Hogwarts uniform. Luna weighs approximately 130 pounds, and can be one of the most original normal looking people you meet.
-Personality
Strengths: Luna's one major strength would be her vast imagination. She's a major conversationalist,
Weaknesses: Out of Luna's major weaknesses, her imagination is also her downfall.
Point of Views: Luna is very, very opinionated about pretty much everything. She believes in different things than most people, but thats what makes her an individual.
Personality:
To those who don’t know Luna, she can seem like a bit of an oddball, or a freak. Those who know her, may say that too, but at least they know its part of her charm. Luna’s random personality spans across from composure to the completely eclectic views. Her beliefs about the world around her, while they may seem slightly insane to some, are what makes Luna an individual. When she grows up, once things settle down, Luna wants to run the Quibbler, just like her dad. You know, keep up the sort of tradition he started.
Luna’s patience and kindness should be something people take as an example. She never fights with anyone, whether it is her father, or the people who tease her. She somewhat of a strong tower who doesn’t let anyone or anything bring her down. Her spark plug personality, random thought trains, and peace of mind are just the few words that can sum up Luna Lovegood.
-History
Nationality: British.
Hometown: Luna resides outside of Ottery St. Catchpole, but was born in Lowestoft.
Family:
Luna's mother, Emmaline, died when Luna was the age of nine. Luna has described her as a brilliant witch and an amazing mother.
Luna's father, Mathew, is still alive an currently resides outside of Ottery St. Catchpole, where he writes for the Quibbler.
History:
Luna May Lovegood was born in the early morning of April 14th, in a hospital just outside of London to Mathew and Emmaline Lovegood. She was raised for the first part of her life in the town of Lowestoft, before moving to Ottery St. Catchpole at the age of nine. From the moment she was able to walk, Luna seemed to be always moving, taking a strong interest in the world around her. She would only stop when her parents would sit her down before bed and tell her stories about the magical world. She grew up with a major love of all things magic and watching everything her parents did.
That mostly changed, one day when Luna was nine. Her mom Emmaline had been working on a difficult spell, and in the process accidentally killed herself. Luna who was watching was unharmed, but since that incident, has been able to see Thestrals. Luna’s father, who had been in another room working on the Quibbler, was quite shaken up by the experience. It was soon after her mother’s death, that her father moved them to Ottery St. Catchpole.
Luna’s most exciting day was when her Hogwarts letter arrived. Since that day, Luna’s life has taken a drastic turn, and doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. She’s fought with death eaters, been made fun of, and made many friends along the way.
Luna’s still a teen and has plenty of life and adventures left in her.
-Extras
Likes: Luna likes pretty much everything, shes a happy go lucky person.
Dislikes: Luna dislikes when people make fun of her, allthough she doesnt show it.
Wand: 9 1/2 inches, holly and dragon heartstring core.
Pet: Luna doesn't currently have a pet.
Broom: She perfers not to fly, walking is easier.
Roleplay Sample:
Luna sat at the Ravenclaw table, several sheets of parchment spread out in front of her. She’d been so busy with everything lately that she hadn’t gotten a chance to study for Transfiguration test. Flipping quickly through each one, she muttered softly to herself, trying to refresh her mind and look for the specific piece of parchment. Sighing softly, she started to go through the pile once again, her mind focused on it.
Shaking her head upon reaching the bottom of the pile, Luna reached slowly for her backpack, still muttering what she needed to know. I can’t believe you’ve lost it, that’s just like you to lose something before you need it. Unless someone took again, but I don’t see why they’d want to, its just Transfiguration notes. Then again though, no one ever said they needed a good reason. Sighing softly once more, Luna continued to look through her bag.
BRING![/i]
Above her, a bell rang, initializing that she had five minutes to get to Transfiguration. Shaking her head as she packed up her bag, as the piece of paper she needed fell out when she picked it up. Reading it quickly, she hoped to retain some information from it. Otherwise she might just have to wing it.
