Luna left the Ravenclaw Common Room, a slight smile on her face and a bounce in her step. Her bag was gently tapping her leg as she walked, but for once it didn't bother her. It seemed everything was going to work out for her today. Or at least she hoped everything would.
Glancing down at her watch as she ran her hand through her hair, she sighed softly. She only had another five minutes to get to class before the bell, or she'd be late. Shaking her head, she picked up the pace, running more than she was walking. Next time, she warned herself. Try to leave earlier if you want a relaxing walk to class.
She continued to run, heading into the first floor corridors. She glanced down at her watch again, she had about two minutes. Luna cheered softly to herself, but by looking at her watch, she didn't see where she was going. Crashing into the person in front of her, she landed on the ground and sighed.
Sorry about that, Luna said, as she tried to get up and see who she walked into. I hope your okay.

Lavender rubbed her tired eyes as she headed slowly to her first class. Sure, she already knew she was going to be late, but there wasn't much she could do about it now. It was a long journey that Lavender had to take in order to make it to her first class on time. It started in a few minutes and that surely wasn't going to happen.
She had been up late working on an essay for this specific class. That's probably why she wasn't so eager enough to run to get to the class. She lost sleep because of it and had a sour attitude towards it currently. She had hit the snooze a little too much this morning in order to catch up. Parvati had tried wakening her but Lavender told her to go ahead without her.
Such a silly idea that was.
Lavender turned around the corner and felt herself being forced to the ground as she ran smack dab into someone. She was tired enough that she had wondered if she walked off course and ran into the wall; it had happened once before when she wasn't paying attention. At the sound of a voice, Lavender knew otherwise.
Sorry about that ... I hope you're okay. Lavender looked up at the person that she had collided with. Ah, Luna Lovegood. Lavender never had talked to Luna before but she knew who she was. "That's alright," Lavender replied, gathering up a few of her things.

Luna slowly picked up her belongings before rising to her feet. Adjusting the posisition of her knapsack, she sighed softly. It wasn't even ten in the morning and already she was acting like a klutz. One of these days, that habit would just have to leave. But, it's like they say, old habits die hard.
She was feeling pretty bad though, because had she been paying attention, this wouldn't have happened. She would be in class right now, sitting in her seat and hoping that the Professor wouldn't pick on her. At least the girl was okay, it's not like it was intentional.
Luna perked up, hearing that the other girl was okay. She wanted to say something like that's good, insert name here, but for the life of her, she couldn't remember it. The girl looked awfully familiar, and Luna felt that she should know it. So she went for the next best thing.
Well,I'm really sorry, Luna spoke, hoping she didn't sound like a total goof, I should have been watching where I was going, instead of in lala land. I'm glad to hear that you're okay though.

Hm. Chime in the stomach growling. Lavender was just about to turn around and skip her lesson, go grab a snack from the kitchens as she missed breakfast and was now starving, and catch up what she missed with Parvati later. So now she was late, hungry, and probably had a big bruise on her bum for the impact of falling on the ground. She knew it wasn't the girl's fault though so Lavender had no intention of prosecuting her for the bruise that was to come.
Well,I'm really sorry ... I should have been watching where I was going, instead of in lala land. I'm glad to hear that you're okay though. Lavender gave the girl a soft smile and shook her head. "No need to be sorry. Colliding into people can occasionally come from both people. I wasn't paying attention either." Lavender paused talking to pick up her last few things and stand back up on her feet. "What about you? Are you alright?"
Scanning over the girl, Lavender knew she knew who this girl was but couldn't place her name. This was going to bother Lavender too; she knew the name was in her memory somewhere. This girl had been in Dumbledore's Army and so had Lavender. This would really get on her nerves.
Oh right. Lavender forgot she had a voice. Ha ha. She could easily just ask. It was silly for her to have been pondering it for so long when she could have just asked five seconds ago. "Sorry but what's your name? I know I should know this because I know I've seen you lots of times but I can't seem to place your name."

Luna glanced down quickly at her watch. The buzzer was going to ring in a moment, and she had no hope of being on time. Sighing softly to herself, she adjusted her back and smiled softly at the girl. Her body may have been there, but her head was back in her dormitory, trying to figure out if she had completed all of her homework.
Well, I guess that's true. I suppose I'm just used to being the one that collides into people, Luna smiled, adjusting her bag once more. She was glad to hear that the other girl was fine, but couldn't help but feel like it was partially her fault. She paused for another second before opening her mouth to answer her other question. Well to be completely honest, I am perfectly fine.
I'm Luna, Luna Lovegood. She spoke reaching her hand out. Now she felt bad, the girl in front of her looked extremely familiar, but her name was escaping her. Luna looked down, and sighed soflty, And that's okay, I sorta forgot your name too.
