Character Information
Full Name: Hermione Jane Granger
Birthdate: September 9, 1979
Age: 17
House//Year: Gryffindor//7th
Blood: Muggle-born
Position on the War: Order of the Phoenix, le duh!
-Appearance
Height: Around 5' 4"- ish
Weight: Approx. 120 lbs.
Physical Health: She's healthy. xD
Appearance: Hermione has always been a bit plain in the looks department and even to this day that statement is rather true. There is nothing especially special about her looks and she would not consider herself to be a very attractive looking person. She’s not ghastly to look at, but she’s not blonde with blue eyes show-stopper. Instead she has a hair that is commonly defined as “untameable.” It’s the only “wild” thing about her, both looks and personality wise. It is a dark brown in colour and curly, frizz of a mess most of the time. It moves in one huge clump and only with the extensive use of magic would it ever be considered sleek. The length doesn’t really differ either and it falls just past her shoulders. The eyes are also brown and are set in a slightly tanned complexion from the vacationing in the South of France. There are one or two brown freckles across the bridge of her nose, though they aren’t exactly noticeable unless you’re actually looking for them.
Her features are well proportioned in her face, as her nose is on the small side and it sits between two rosy cheeks. During her younger years she had braces, mainly due to her parent’s profession, and though that fixed the positioning problem it could not fix the two large front teeth. A mishap meant they were actually made bigger, but she had the last laugh when telling Madam Pomfrey and inaccurate estimate of the original size of her teeth. Now she does have a rather nice smile, with a set of straight, well-portioned teeth behind it.
Her frame .. well, I guess it would be considered slim but she does have a bit of puppy fat around her waist that has not passed with time. She’s not one to show her mid-rift, so she does carry it rather well behind her Muggle clothes. She prefers Muggle attire, as it is far more comfortable and durable in her mind. Her favourite item of clothing, surprisingly, would be denim jeans. The only time she ever dresses up would be for a special occasion and those are moments she does enjoy greatly. Over the past few years she has developed into a young woman, with wider hips and a larger chest being amongst the new changes. In the height department she stands at roughly 5ft 4inches and as she’s not one to be caught in heels this never really fluctuates.

Point of Views: Hermione is a strong supporter of the freedom of house elves; this dates back to her years in Hogwarts and the formation of S.P.E.W.
Personality: Many wonder why Hermione was not placed into the house of Ravenclaw because she certainly has many qualities that the house prizes. To say that she’s a studious girl would be the biggest underestimate this world has ever seen as she is obsessed about expanding her reading list and cramming as much knowledge into her head as physically possible. She has spent hours upon hours adding the “final” touches to a piece of work, to only go over the whole thing again and basically re-write it. Would Hermione actually eat her young for a good grade? Well, that may be pushing it slightly but it is safe to say that she does base a lot of her efforts and hopes on receiving good grades. When exam season came around you would see her obsession taken to a whole new level. She would not be satisfied with making sure her own grades were decent, as she would often inflict her organization skills on her closest friends. She would write time-tables for them and attempt to get them to keep to them, though it was a rather fruitless task because they didn’t pay much attention to her until the last moment. When the exams were finally over she has been known to walk out rather happy with herself and even stating that “it wasn’t as bad as I thought!” - to the frustration of Ronald.
You would think that someone who was quite smart would be better at controlling her temper, but the truth is that is not the case. There are a few people who can actually get her temper to an all time high and when that time comes she has no problem inyelling voicing her opinions. As she is a rather uptight young woman, concepts such as laziness grate on her and she does go out of her way to try and make people work harder. For example when it comes to the idea of homework she finds herself pestering Harry and Ron to just get on with it, though they don’t tend to listen and that leads to other problems. Hermione has been known to give quite a bit of “help” on homework, but that’s only when she’s either feeling especially happy about something or she feels great pity for her two closest friends. She hates the idea of copying, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t given them a good few pointers in efforts to lead them to the right answer.
Another quality that Hermione possesses is the fact that she can get upset rather easily, no matter how hard she tries to not let it show. She can keep her feelings to herself a lot of the time because she doesn’t want to come off as a burden to those around her. When a particularly nasty comment is thrown her way she has been known to wander off to the girl’s bathroom and have a quick cry, before getting on with things again. This only really happens when the comments come from those close to her, as those are the comments that hurt the most, right? You don’t want to hear some negative words from a person you actually like and therefore she does take it too seriously. She doesn’t think it’s a good quality to have, but she is someone who takes things to heart a lot of the time.
Hermione is stubborn (though not as stubborn as some people) and she will stand by her opinion, if she truly believes in it. This quality can be pushed to the side a bit when it comes to her friends, as if an argument has taken place she is likely to be the one who attempts to fix things (but it still takes a good few days for her to cool off). I guess that makes her the “bigger person” and it is a rather suiting title for her. Her friends do mean the world to her and she doesn’t mind stepping back for the greater good because she doesn’t want to see them uncomfortable because of her. Of course, this has been tested, as she will give someone the cold shoulder for at least a good few hours.
She is often the voice of reason within the Trio because she finds Ron and Harry to be far too reckless at times. She’s never been particularly adventurous – though making friends with Harry bent that out of shape slightly – and she likes to know of all her options before acting. She relies heavily on her knowledge and books, so when without them she can feel very insecure. In the group she feels that she has to be the one with the answers because otherwise, what would she contribute? She doesn’t have Harry’s talent (in her mind) and she doesn’t have Ron’s braveness, so she has to rely on brains. It’s a rather unconscious feeling, but it’s a feeling none-the-less.
-History
Nationality: English
Hometown: London, England
Family: Eleanor && Theodore Granger
History: Hermione was born as a muggle and lived with her parents, who were dentists. She was a bit of an outcast as a kid, being a know-it-all and such. Hermione had always loved to learn and she remembered everything she learned. She loved to read and discover new things. Her parents would take her places and she was always amazed by the new sights, the new people. When Hermione was 11, she was thrilled when she got her letter to Hogwarts. It was definitely a surprise to her parents, but they accepted it and supported their daughter, knowing that it was good for her self-esteem.
When Hermione made it on the train, she met Neville Longbottom, and her soon-to-be best friends, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley. At the Sorting Ceremony, she was sorted into Gryffindor along with those three boys, but it seemed as if she was better suited for Ravenclaw. At first, Hermione didn't have any friends because she was such a know-it-all, but soon, she made friends with Ron Weasley and Harry Potter and they became known as the 'Golden Gryffindor Trio.' The three got in trouble somehow each year, but they stuck together and made friends and enemies along the way.
In her first year, Hermione encountered a troll and many obstacles to help Harry retrieve the Sorcerer's Stone from Voldemort. In her second year, when Ron's younger sister, Ginny, was sorted into Gryffindor, the Chamber of Secrets had opened and Hermione was among the small handful of muggleborns that had been petrified, but at least Harry was able to save Ginny on his own. In her third year, Hermione watched as Sirius Black escaped Azkaban and watched secrets unfold with the help of Sirius, Professor Snape, and Professor Lupin. In her fourth year, the Tri-wizard Tournament came with students from two new schools, a new teacher, the rise of Voldemort (though nobody refused to believe it), and Rita Skeeter. In her fifth year, she was appointed a Prefect along with Ronald while Harry struggled with his dreams. Then ended up making new friends, new enemies, and lost another dear friend: Sirius Black, while fighting at the Department of Mysteries thanks to Harry's dreams. Then last year, Hermione's sixth year, Bill got engaged to Fleur Delacour, Dumbeldore was killed, and Harry learned secrets of Voldemort's past and tricks from the 'Half-Blood Prince.'
Now, however, Hermione has graduated from Hogwarts, knowing that Harry vanquished Voldemort three days before their graduation. It's a comforting thought, yet she can't help but harbor some disconcerting notions - the world will never be perfect and this d**n war will never be over.

Hermione was startled, yet strangely put to peace, when Ron placed his hand on her back. It was almost a confirmation that he was there for her her - not that she had ever doubted that he was, yet anyone could see that Hermione's optimism had been fading. There were so many times as of late that she felt alone; not even her two best friends were there to support her, as untrue as that was. "I know Mione. Nothing has been the same. Many sleepless nights have come from Dumbledore's death. It's been hard on all of us." Ron's words also offered a reminder that he and Harry were going through the same thing that she was. Oh, how could she be so selfish? Here she was thinking of only herself when she knew that both Harry and Ron were both experiencing many of the same symptoms that came from grief.
"I know," Hermione replied softly, her gaze returning to the floor with a slight hint of shame. "And Hermione, if you look a wreck, I must look like a pile of garbage." At this, the young witch couldn't help but giggle. Leave it up to Ron to break the ice and make her smile; such an expression was a rare commodity these days, and as one spread to her face at the current moment, Hermione was grateful. "Mione, its been hard on all of us. Trust me, you got off easy." At this remark, Hermione instantaneously lifted her gaze and looked to Ron. What was he saying? Hermione knew that Harry's nightmares had undoubtedly been plaguing him ever since Dumbledore's death, but she hadn't really thought about how it was affecting Ron.
And she felt horrible that she hadn't, for he was human just like the rest of them; he, too, had been traumatized by their Headmaster's death. "Ron," Hermione interjected gently, placing a petite hand on his arm to show her concern. "If you need someone..." She didn't dare finish that statement, leaving it up to his interpretation. In fact, she didn't even know how she had intended to conclude it herself. If she anticipated a reaction, she didn't necessarily receive one - Ron merely stared at her for a moment and then continued. "It's a hard time, and it will get harder before its done. We have to talk to get through it." Again with the cryptic statements; well, at least they were to Hermione, for she believed that Ron was attempting to communicate some hidden meaning in what he said.
"I've had enough of talking," Hermione said plainly, standing up suddenly and pacing in place. Her normally cheerful hazel eyes glimmered with anxiety as she returned her gaze to settle on Ron's face. "We're always talking, always planning what we're going to do next, saying how we're going to stop grieving and move on. Don't you see, Ron, that's not good enough! We may say that we're alright but most of the time that's not the case - we bottle up our emotions until we're ready to burst and then...we get off task from what we're really trying to accomplish. Merlin, it practically took Dumbledore's death for us to completely focus on defeating Voldemort!" At this point, Hermione's voice had gradually elevated so that she was practically screaming. If she looked distraught when she came down the stairs, now she looked positively miserable. With a sigh, Hermione brought her voice back down to a hushed whisper and continued. "I just want this war to be over," she said, her shoulders shaking as she spoke. "No more talking - it's time to take action and just..." However hard she tried, Hermione just couldn't finish her statement.
