first class and f a n c y free she's high s o c i e t y she's got the b e s t of everything Today was a rather tiresome day. Lavender felt out of her usual swing of things and everything seemed rather bland. Not to mention, she had this silly song stuck in her head. It was a muggle song and it continually replayed itself in her head over and over again. It was getting quite repetitive and driving her bloody mad. At least she had her cappuccino this morning. She was denied it the other day and she was a mess pretty much the entire day. Today was looking up just because of the mere factor in her life. Taking a seat on one of the benches, Lavender stretched herself out a bit, cappuccino pulled to her in a loving way. This stuff kept her going on some days when she couldn't. This bench was unusually uncomfortable. Maybe she was just overall being irritable today seeing as everything seemed to bother her when it usually wouldn't. This bench, the song, and perhaps some of her dorm mates struck a nerve today too. That was always one of those things that she tended to shrug off so it didn't bother her so much but the annoyance was still there. Oh dear. Shut up brain. She was trying to relax for a change.

Parvati had been having a lot of weird dreams lately, and she wished she knew what they meant. She had hoped to ask Professor Trelawney about them, but she hadn't been to Divination yet since the dreams had started.
She kept dreaming of falling through the air, and everytime she thought she was reaching the ground, she would start to fall through the air again, it was a continual dream.
The only thing that stopped it from happening was when she finally woke up every morning. So, she found herself going for a walk around the grounds to try and clear her head and hopefully meet up with her good friend Lavender.
Sure enough when she approached The Courtyard she saw lying on a bench her good friend Lavender, so she bounded up to her quickly and bent down to her level on her knees, "Hey Lavender, penny for your thoughts?" she asked her.

Not only was her cappuccino exceptionally good today, Lavender also had a hankering for something else. Tacos. Yes, Tacos. Why tacos, you ask? Er -- Not that anyone is really asking seeing as this is all thought. Good thing she told no one but Parvati about her random questions to herself; people would probably label her as insane.
Hey Lavender, penny for your thoughts? Well, well. Speak of the flippin' devil. "Hey Par," Lavender said with a grin. "I want tacos." Sure, an ordinary person would not understand why that would ramble out of her mouth at random but Parvati probably would. "It probably wouldn't taste good with my cappuccino right now but it sounds good for a meal later." Random, but true. Tacos and cappuccinos most likely would not mix together pleasantly with the taste buds.
"And I've got a song stuck in my head," Lavender said with a nod. "It's a muggle song and it won't go away no matter how much I try to mentally shoo it away."

Hey Par...I want tacos...."Hello" Parvati started with a grin at her friend, especially over the random tacos thing. She knew what that meant, that Lav had been doing her random questioning in her head.
"Been random questioning yourself again have you Lav?" Parvati asked with an amused tone in her voice. It was one of Lav's traits Parvati loved about her the most.
It probably wouldn't taste good with my cappuccino right now but it sounds good for a meal later....Parvati shook her head in digust, "Yeah, I dare say they wouldn't mix well, but for a meal later, I'm there with you" Parvati grinned.
It's a muggle song and it won't go away no matter how much I try to mentally shoo it away....Parvati grinned, "I have had that a few times myself. Although I'm free from songs in my head right now, just weird dreams" Parvati said with a slight change to her tone. "Anyway, what song have you stuck in your head?" she asked her friend.

Been random questioning yourself again have you Lav? Lavender grinned, heaving herself up into a sitting position. "When don't I ever?" Lavender replied cheekily at her friend. She tended to ask herself questions at random. She always thought it would be easier to do it that way. If someone thought your question was silly, you usually ended up being the butt end of some teasing. With the way Lavender does it, she dodged the teasing and hopefully could answer the question herself or answered by Parvati.
Yeah, I dare say they wouldn't mix well, but for a meal later, I'm there with you. Lavender grinned at this as well. "I knew you would be," she replied in a sing-songy voice. Parvati always went along with Lavender's silly little antics. It was good for Lavender because she always knew Par would be there with her even if it came down to the silliest things.
I have had that a few times myself. Although I'm free from songs in my head right now, just weird dreams. "Ah yes," Lavender replied, nodding her head as she understood. "It happens to the best of us." At the mention of the dreams, Lavender seemed to perk up a bit. "Oooh -- dreams? Do tell!" Lavender loved hearing about other people's dreams. "And since they're weird, have you talked to Professor Trelawney yet?"
Anyway, what song have you stuck in your head? Lavender shrugged. "Not quite sure. I don't know the name of it but I heard it quite a few times over break when I was listening to that muggle contraption. I can't even remember what that thing was called either." Lavender was bad with remembering names of muggle objects. Good thing she wasn't a muggle studies student then, eh?

When don't I ever?...."True, true" Parvati agreed nodding her head, and taking a seat beside Lavender when she moved to a sitting position instead of lying on the bench.
I knew you would be...."Naturally" nodding her head in agreement, it was pretty well known that wherever Lavender was, Parvati wasn't far behind and vice versa. They were practically glued together.
Oooh -- dreams? Do tell!....Parvati giggled at Lav's response, although it was to be expected. "I've been having the same dream for the past couple of nights, where I'm just constantly falling through the air, it's horrible. Every time I think I'm reaching the ground I start falling again. It only stops when I wake up" she explained to Lav.
And since they're weird, have you talked to Professor Trelawney yet?...."I haven't, I haven't had a chance to see her since they started, I was going to talk to her about them at our next Divination class" Parvati said with a grin.
Not quite sure. I don't know the name of it but I heard it quite a few times over break when I was listening to that muggle contraption. I can't even remember what that thing was called either....."Ah, even worse when you can't remember the name of the song, oh and the Muggle Contraption you're talking of? Wouldn't happen to be what they call a radio?" she questioned her friend in amused tones. She wasn't the best at Muggle Studies either, but she knew of the radio, she loved listening to her music did Parvati.

[ooc: I am so eating tacos right now too. xD]
IC:
Naturally. Lavender just grinned in response to this. "We should sneak to the kitchens later tonight for some tacos. I'm sure the House Elves wouldn't mind making some tacos for us. I'd be grateful forever if they would," she replied. Mmm. Tacos sound even better the more she thought about it.
This led Lavender's thoughts to wander about other people. Other people surely must love tacos as well? It would be crazy for a person not to. If someone didn't love tacos, they must have been dropped on their head several times as a young child.
I've been having the same dream for the past couple of nights, where I'm just constantly falling through the air, it's horrible. Every time I think I'm reaching the ground I start falling again. It only stops when I wake up. Lavender frowned as Parvati told her of the dream. "It's not very pleasant then, I can see." Lavender never remembered her dreams and was rather glad for that; she wouldn't like having a dream like the one Parvati has been having.
I haven't, I haven't had a chance to see her since they started, I was going to talk to her about them at our next Divination class. Lavender nodded. "We'll cut breakfast short and go see her early before the lesson," Lavender suggested. "I'll go with you and we'll catch her before some other students start wandering in."
Ah, even worse when you can't remember the name of the song, oh and the Muggle Contraption you're talking of? Wouldn't happen to be what they call a radio? A look of realization dawned on Lavender's face and she nodded. "Ah yes. That would be what it's called! I really need to remember it." She probably should post-it note the name to her forehead. That would be the only way she would remember it most likely.

We should sneak to the kitchens later tonight for some tacos. I'm sure the House Elves wouldn't mind making some tacos for us. I'd be grateful forever if they would...."You know they probably would too, because they're always handing out food to the students, they're ever so sweet" Parvati said in agreement to her friend.
It's not very pleasant then, I can see...."No, not really, had I been flying through the air, I might have just about liked that, maybe, but falling" she shuddered as an image of her dream flashed in front of her eyes.
We'll cut breakfast short and go see her early before the lesson....I'll go with you and we'll catch her before some other students start wandering in....Parvati nodded her head enthusiastically in response to this, "Yes, that would be great, I really want to find out what is going on with them"
Ah yes. That would be what it's called! I really need to remember it...."You should get yourself one of them, maybe that would help you remember what it's called" Parvati said giggling slightly, "I love listening to music, I have my radio"
